Whale Study Week A humpback uses a breach to make eye contact with our study tour. This humpback juvenile would go on to make over 20 breaches and set the record for this particular Whale Study Week vacation. Some playful humpback calves will breach for 20 minutes or more causing guests to use all their film or drain the batteries of their digital cameras. This inconsiderate behavior on the part of the whales is usually the only complaint received from guests on our Whale Study Week.
